Community Development and laying the platform for economic vitality begins with core community investment. As a not-for-profit organization, NCED provides assistance to Nodaway County’s communities and is a resource for project administration and oversight.
Following are some of the ongoing programs and projects we’re currently assisting:
Maryville Industrial Development Corporation
The premiere Industrial Development facilitator, MIDC launched NCED and has been involved in the recruitment of every major industry to Maryville in the last twenty five years. NCED provides administrative duties to MIDC, which is a private corporation.
Enhanced Enterprise Zone Administration
Northwest Nodaway County Zone and Nodaway County Zone are two Enhanced Enterprise Zone’s located in Nodaway County. NCED provides administrative services for each of the zones including collection of all business applications and facilitation of communication between business, the EEZ Advisory Board and Nodaway County Commission.
Industrial Development Authority
The IDA is an appointed bonding group which has the authority to issue Industrial Development Bonds. When called into action, NCED is the administrative assistant to the IDA Board.
Greater Southern Nodaway County Community Foundation
Formed in 2011, the GSNCCF is a formed foundation who’s mission is: NCED provides a financial umbrella for smaller community development projects and worked cooperatively with the leadership of the Foundation in their community sustainability efforts.
