Bolder Industries CEO Tony Wibbeler, left, and Nate Murphy, CTO, break ground on a new expansion to the company’s facility in Maryville.

MARYVILLE, Mo. — Bolder Industries, the manufacturer of BolderBlack, broke ground at its manufacturing plant in Maryville this week to celebrate an expansion.

“This expansion will increase our capacity nearly three times our current capability in each of our production lines,” said CEO Tony Wibbeler in a statement. “It also demonstrates our ability to bring this solution to scale at predictable pricing. We are currently on time and on budget with more than 85 percent of the costs contracted or purchased for what is essentially a second facility.”

The Bolder Industries Maryville expansion will add 17,000 square feet to the existing footprint and open up local, advanced manufacturing jobs in the near future, the company said in a press release. Construction on the addition began on June 14 and is slated for completion by February 2021.
